Answer calling with mission school
IF YOU feel that you are called to be a missionary, join the Mercy School of Missions this year with UThixo Ulungile Ministries in Stoney Drift.
According to UThixo Ulungile Ministries founder Joshua Minter, it is a down-to-earth and basic school.
Minter said that they are calling on all the lovers and followers of Jesus Christ to join them for three months where they will lay down their lives and learn from the broken, poor and sick how to love.
“We have been doing this for the past five years and it is incredible that as much as we think we have something to teach the people, we end up learning from them.
“South Africa is a country with different cultures and we learn how to respect and honour that. During the three months, one learns how to minister in different cultures. We shall teach how to walk in Jesus’ footsteps. He was for all cultures,” Minter said.
The school will run five days a week during the three months. Minter said it is intense and needs someone who will be fully dedicated.
“This is an intense three months where we will die to ourselves and let Jesus kick us back to life. It is a very small and intimate group, so we are looking for up to 15 people of any age. If you feel the calling to be a missionary, we are here to fill you up and send you out. There will be training every morning and loads of worship. Local missionaries who are in the field, also give some training.
“We also have a couple of outreaches planned. Come expectant to see Jesus move through you, Matthew 10:8 kind of stuff,” he said.
The school runs from September 1 to November 30 in Stoney Drift. Anyone interested can call Minter on 073-135-4673.
