PAINT THE TOWN RED
Ray Dylan to woo Bay with latest album
DUE to popular demand, Boeretroos Promotions is bringing South Africa’s king of party Ray Dylan back for a reunion show.
This award-winning artist will be performing at The Guild Theatre in East London next Friday at 8pm.
Ray Dylan recorded his debut album,
New Kid In Town, in 2002, but his breakthrough came with the 2006 Afrikaans album, Hokaai Stoppie Lorrie, followed by Breek die Ys and the CD/DVD release Hier Binne (Klop ’n Boerehart).
In 2010, he received the Sama (South African Music Award) for best country album of the year for his 2009 album, Goeie Ou Country.
Platinum-seller Dylan’s latest album, Uitbasuin, was released only a few weeks ago.
The album promises to be one of this year’s big ones featuring outstanding hit singles, such as Vir Ewig Jonk,
Liedjieskrywer and Uitbasuin.
Not all Dylan’s songs are in Afrikaans, he also sings in English – from pumping dance tracks and soulful ballads to country rock tunes which is why this concert promises to be a fun event for the whole family.
Tickets at R120 and R130 are available from Computicket (0861-915-8000) and the Guild Theatre (043)743-0704.
BACK BY DEMAND: Award-winning singer Ray Dylan takes to the Guild Theatre stage on November 10 for a concert not to be missed
