Being generous is in their genes

go! Platteland - - LETTERS -

Platteland, you take me to remote places and villages that I still hope to visit before development takes its toll. You show and tell me about people who really live, and who make me yearn for my childhood days on the farm and platteland. They’re people who may have been burnt by our African sun, but who have also learnt to bottle, store, dry, preserve and give away what nature offers. And then there is the sowing article in the Spring Issue ( Platteland #12) that made my hands itch.

One thing is for sure: if you are or have been or hope to be a plattelander, being generous is in your DNA, because nature gives without reservation. And always more than any one person can consume.
