With my Own Eyes

Ihad planned my trip months in advance, but unfortunately everyone who was supposed to be going with me pulled out. I was not to be deterred, however, even if those Kruger roads can become long and monotonous without company. I try to visit the Kruger annually, for at least a few days. The first time I remember going to the park was when I was five or six years old. We spent several

holidays in the Kruger when I was growing up and many more in northern KZN. I learnt about the bush from a young age and I consider myself fairly knowledgeable. I love the high density of sightings in the Kruger Park, compared with the reserves of northern KZN. You’re guaranteed at least one sighting where you’ll get good photographs. The Kruger is also fairly close to Durban, and it’s easy to get to for a few days of game viewing.
