Sirheni was super

go! - - Letters Upfront -

We booked accommodation at Shingwedzi and Punda Maria in the Kruger Park, and also a night at Sirheni. We knew what to expect from the main camps but we’d never stayed in a bushveld camp like Sirheni so we didn’t

know what was coming our way. Your July issue ( go! #145) arrived the day of our departure – with the feature about the Kruger’s bushveld camps! Our uncertainty about staying at Sirheni quickly changed to excitement. Esma Marnewick’s description of the camp is spot on; we were not disappointed. We were warmly welcomed by Matilda Mokhombo (pictured) and we gave her our copy of the mag with her photo inside. The accommodation was first-class and the camp was really neat. We regretted having booked for only one night, especially after Armando Baloi came around (as promised) and told us about the animals we might see. After our Sirheni experience, we’ll certainly visit the other bushveld camps in the park. JAN BOSMAN, Randburg
