MILLIONS OF BATS!
If you’re driving through Zambia between mid-October and midDecember, make sure to detour via Kasanka National Park. ( Turn off the Great Northern Road just north of Serenje.) In early summer, Kasanka plays host to Africa’s biggest mammal migration when millions of straw-coloured fruit bats congregate here. The park also has plenty of rare sitatunga antelope – you’ll see them from Pontoon Campsite. Stay here: Pontoon Campsite kasankanationalpark.com
