“That another demo in your bag?”

Golf Digest (South Africa) - - Contents 2/ 15 - By Tom Stickney

I ’m all for you busting out a new driver, but be smart about it. Don’t grab one off the rack every time you walk by the shop. Or dump every demo after a few flares into the woods. Maybe you just need a lesson – or a lobotomy. If you’re thinking of replacing your driver, promise me two things: First, you’ll get fit by a pro, and second, you’ll give the new club a fair trial. I bet there’s a clubfitter or a discount retailer near you. If not, chat to the equipment brand agents.

On the second point, put in some time with your new toy. Give it a month, at least. If you still think you need an adjustment, head back to your fitter. That’s why you go to a pro in the first place: You’re not stuck once you rip off all the stickers.
