35 PAIRS WILL QUALIFY FOR SUN CITY FINALS
The 2015 Subscriber Challenge begins in February with a condensed lineup of seven events, five in Gauteng and two in Limpopo. The good news though is that the top 5 pairs at each event will qualify for the Finals at
Sun City from May 21-22. Entries, as always, must be in pairs, and the format is betterball Stableford.
Golf Digest will accept entries from all SAGA-handicapped golfers, but the maximum handicap they can play off is 18 (men) and 24 (women).
The Gauteng 18-hole events will be at five of the best courses in the region, including two Jack Nicklaus designs. They are SA Open venue Glendower in Johannesburg, the Ebotse Links in Benoni, Pecanwood on the Hartbeespoort Dam, Serengeti near O R Tambo Airport, and the top-10 ranked East course at
Royal Johannesburg & Kensington.
There will be two special 36-hole events, both at Zebula/Elements in the Waterberg (Limpopo), which has been highly popular the last two years. The best 5 pairings over 36 holes will earn places into the Sun City Finals.
The entry fee for Zebula/Elements of R4 000 a pair includes shared accommodation for one night at Zebula Golf Estate & Spa, breakfast, dinner, golf carts and halfway meal at each course.
The winning pair at the Finals will be rewarded with participation in the
Beachcomber Paradis Golf Challenge
in Mauritius. They will receive airfares ex Johannesburg, 5 nights accommodation at Paradis Hotel & Golf Club inclusive of breakfast and dinner, two fun days and two competition days of golf, golf carts, practice balls, 25% beverage discount voucher, welcome cocktail, and farewell gala event, courtesy of Beachcomber Tours and Air Mauritius. In addition, the winner of the Paradis Golf Challenge wins free accomodation and airfare to defend the title, and the runner-up receives free accommodation to participate in the 2016 Challenge, plus domestic air tickets. Rule 4-2g SAGA/06/14.
