Hen­drikse (Aka­sia), the No 1-ranked se­nior, won the KZN Spring Clas­sic at Dur­ban CC with 76-74, edg­ing Zola Kon­zani (Hume­wood 75-76) and G R For­man (Mt Edge­combe 81-70) by a shot. Shar­ing fourth place were Fran­cois le Roux (Som­er­set West) and Mor­gan Phillips (Maritzburg). Zin­gela (Uiten­hage 73-73) moved to No 3 on the rank­ings when he

Iwon the Cotswold Downs tour­na­ment by two from Gor­don Wes­sels (Win­gate Park 73-75), with Kon­zani on 150 ahead of Le Roux 153. Wil­liam Skin­ner (Zwartkop) had his sec­ond win on the se­nior cir­cuit, the Lowveld Se­nior Open at White River with 68-73, by two from Le Roux (71-72). Ian Smith (Houghton) and An­dre Bas­son (Nelspruit) were T-3 on 144. Skin­ner, up to No 10 in the rank­ings, be­gan his sec­ond round with a triple-bo­gey 8, but was one­un­der from there to the fin­ish, play­ing the back nine in 34.
