YOUNG ROOKIE TOPS BIG EASY TOUR
hristiaan Bezuidenhout has earned his way on to the Sunshine Tour for 2016 after winning The Big Easy Tour Order of Merit. The 19-yearold rookie professional, previously South Africa’s standout amateur performer, won two of the five events in which he played on this secondary tour, in Swaziland and at Glendower, and lost a playoff in The Big Easy Tour Championship at Copperleaf when going for his hat-trick of victories. He earned R70 465. Bezuidenhout has also had three wins on the IGT Tour, and was invited by Johann Rupert to play in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland. Daniel Hammond was second on the The Big Easy Tour Order of Merit with R53 000 after winning the Tour Championship, and was followed by Gideon Pienaar, Michael Palmer and Bryn Flanagan, who all earn cards for the Sunshine Tour.
