THE MENTAL SIDE: SEE THE HOLE

Golf Digest (South Africa) - - Play Your Best -

Some golfers leave important putts short because they have a flaw in their visual routine. They get so focused on an aiming spot they want to roll the ball over that they forget the hole. As a result, they lose their feel for distance. Picking an intermediate target isn’t wrong, but that’s not where you want the ball to end up. It shouldn’t be your last point of focus before making a stroke. —MORRIS PICKENS, PHD
