SENIOR’S WIN FOR THE AGED
Professional golf’s youth movement took a hit when 56-year-old Australian Peter Senior withstood a finalround charge by US Amateur champion Bryson DeChambeau, 22, to win the Australian Masters at Huntingdale in Melbourne. He last won the Masters in 1995, when DeChambeau was two. Senior now has a remarkable hat-trick of wins in Australia since turning 50. He won the 2010 Australian PGA at 51 and the 2012 Australian Open at 53.
