SPIETH WENT FOR IT SAFELY
On Sunday at last year’s Masters, out in the 15th fairway, Jordan Spieth had a fiveshot lead. He looked at the long carry over water to the par 5. “If I go to the hybrid, it’s probably too much club, but it’s not in the water,” he said later. “But if I miss a 4-iron, it could very easily go in.” He hit the hybrid, which flew past the pin and rolled off the back. His up-and-down birdie clinched his first major win.
