Be­tween tour­na­ment earn­ings and spon­sor­ship deals, Jor­dan Spieth is swim­ming in coins like Scrooge McDuck. His first deal of 2016 was as a brand am­bas­sador for Coca-Cola. Spieth will be fea­tured in a “steady stream of ini­tia­tives through­out the PGA Tour sea­son, plus the Olympics.” The brand is no stranger to golf. Bobby Jones starred in an ad­ver­tis­ing cam­paign for the com­pany in 1947, and Coca-Cola serves as the pre­sent­ing spon­sor of the Tour Cham­pi­onship. Still, this multi-year en­dorse­ment for Spieth sig­nals that he has tran­scended golf and be­come an iden­ti­fi­able cross-over star.
