Golf Digest (South Africa) - - The Locker Room -

When I ask my pupils how they get the ball in the air, they say you need to get the club under the ball. But when they demonstrate this their weight falls back on the right, the shaft leans back, and the leading edge of the club is halfway up the ball.

To get the club under the ball, for any club other than a driver, the shaft must lean towards the target, the leading edge is under the arc of the ball, and the body weight is moving towards the target. Let the club do the work.
