PXG (Parsons Xtreme Golf) clubs are available in South Africa through the Golf Science custom fitting centre in Cape Town.

South Africans have become more aware of the brand since Charl Schwartzel switched to PXG at the 2016 Open Championship. Ryan Moore won on the PGA Tour last August with 11 PXG clubs in his bag.

The clubs are expensive compared to the major brands, yet Warren Lake of Golf Science says there has been reasonable demand for PXG since he started selling them in April 2016. “It’s a cool to have product, because of its uniqueness, and the clubs also deliver great performance,” said Lake.

All clubs are sold individually, not as sets. Irons and wedges cost R6 195 each (the advantage is that you can build your own set), with a range of top quality shafts to choose from, while hybrids go for R7 000, fairway metals R9 000, and the PXG 0811 driver is R12 500.
