ingredient buzz turmeric

Good Housekeeping (South Africa) - - EXPERT ADVICE -

This antioxidant, antibacterial, antiseptic, antiinflammatory powder works wonders. It contains curcumin, so it’s high in antioxidants and is a great anti-ager. As a paste, it can help control sebum production and soothe acne. It helps to heal burns and wounds, and has exfoliating properties. Turmeric is also a perfect DIY beauty ingredient and our favourite way to use it is to combine it with nourishing, enzymepacked ingredients like yoghurt. Mix ¼ tsp turmeric with 1 cup plain Greek yoghurt and a dribble of honey. Apply to your face in an upward motion. Leave on for 20 minutes, then rinse.
