Turn down the temp

Good Housekeeping (South Africa) - - YOUR LOOK -

A STEAMY SHOWER may feel heavenly, but ‘hot water is very stripping to your hair and scalp,’ explains hairstylist Ryan Trygstad. ‘Keep the temperature on the warm side to help open the cuticles, so your shampoo and conditioner can penetrate better. Then, at the end of your shower, do a five-second cold-water rinse to seal the cuticles shut, which helps boost shine.’
