Should I be adding SQUATS to my exercise routine?
Definitely! ‘Squats empower you for the day,’ says Pilates instructor Andrea Mitchell. They strengthen the muscles you rely on to do everything from picking up your toddler to getting out of that sunken chair your husband has had since varsity. Try this: stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, toes turned out slightly, then squat, bringing your hips back and down, and keep your chest lifted and your abs engaged. Work up to 50 to 100 squats every morning. You can do it!
