‘NO MATTER WHAT I DO, MY FOUNDATION ALWAYS ENDS UP LOOKING THICK, HEAVY AND STREAKY. CAN YOU HELP?’

IF YOU’RE USING A BRUSH or sponge to apply your foundation, make sure that it’s clean. Product build-up can cause streakiness and a thicker application. Dry skin doesn’t like foundation, so prepping with a hydrating facial mist will help achieve a smoother finish. You can also mix a few drops of liquid illuminator into your foundation before applying it. It will give you a pretty sheer and natural result. Try: (1) Mario Badescu Skin Care Facial Spray (R250) (2) Urban Decay Liquid Aura Illuminating Mix-In Medium (R495) (3) M.A.C Strobe Cream (R490) in Silverlite 2 ‘I would like to try products with more natural ingredients on my baby. Any suggestions?’ Look for products that have a high water content. Check the label; water should be the first or second ingredient listed. If not, skip it. Washes should contain very mild surfactants (the soapy foaming agent), which won’t strip skin of its natural and essential oils. The less foamy, the better. Lastly, look for skin-loving ingredients that are rich in antioxidants and soothe sensitive skin, like rooibos tea. GH Picks: (1) Pure Beginnings Fun Time Kids Wash (R119,99) (2) Pure Beginnings Fun Time Hand Wash (R64,99)
