Brilliantly written and utterly gripping

Good Housekeeping (South Africa) - - CONTENTS - The Woman In The Window by AJ Finn (R285, HarperCollins)

THIS BEAUTIFULLY CRAFTED NOVEL is full of suspense and menace and is, as crime writer Val McDermid describes it, ‘Twisted to the max.’ Something terrible has happened to child psychologist Anna Fox and she is no longer able to leave her home. She fills her days with black and white movies, drinking and watching her neighbours as they go about their lives. Her insular world takes a dramatic turn when new neighbours move in across the park and she is convinced she has witnessed Jane, the wife, being murdered. But no-one will believe her, and police prove Jane is very much alive. But then strange things start to happen. This book gave me nightmares. You’ll want to bolt the doors before you start reading it.
