Zesty Scones with Glazed Citrus Peel
Thuli’s Township Scone recipe, but replace the MOIR’S Caramel Flavour Essence with 5ml MOIR’S Lemon Flavour Essence 100g MOIR’S Mixed Citrus Peel 125ml icing sugar 20ml water lemon, orange and lime zest, to decorate
1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Prepare Thuli’s Township Scone recipe and add MOIR’S Mixed Citrus Peel.
2. Turn out onto a floured surface and press lightly, then roll out to a 1,5cm thickness.
3. Cut out round shapes with a big cookie cutter and place on a greased or baking-paper-lined baking tray. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
4. Remove from oven. Leave to cool, then drizzle with a mixture of icing sugar and water.
5. Decorate with orange, lemon and lime zest.
