Zesty Scones with Glazed Cit­rus Peel

Thuli’s Town­ship Scone recipe, but re­place the MOIR’S Caramel Flavour Essence with 5ml MOIR’S Lemon Flavour Essence 100g MOIR’S Mixed Cit­rus Peel 125ml ic­ing sugar 20ml wa­ter lemon, orange and lime zest, to dec­o­rate

METHOD

1. Pre­heat oven to 180°C. Pre­pare Thuli’s Town­ship Scone recipe and add MOIR’S Mixed Cit­rus Peel.

2. Turn out onto a floured sur­face and press lightly, then roll out to a 1,5cm thick­ness.

3. Cut out round shapes with a big cookie cut­ter and place on a greased or baking-pa­per-lined baking tray. Bake for 15 to 20 min­utes.

4. Re­move from oven. Leave to cool, then driz­zle with a mix­ture of ic­ing sugar and wa­ter.

5. Dec­o­rate with orange, lemon and lime zest.
