‘Without a doubt, the thing

I love most about Perron is the colourful energy, from the festive interior to the interesting drinks and authentic Mexican food.

‘My favourite dish is the

Los Mas Pequenos, which is a selection of mini tapas, as well as the Popcorn Pollo Taco and the prawn in adobe chilli. Oh, and the Holy Mole — grilled chicken with a spicy green herb and pumpkinseed mole served with Mexican potatoes, roasted salsa and cream. The most impressive drink is the communal jug of Mojito that is immediately brought to the table on arrival.

‘Most impressive of all is that the owners have captured the fiesta vibe with riotous colour and mariachi tunes blaring melodically all night.’

CLOCKWISE FROM ABOVE C hef Thomas Hughes and co-owner Christa Jakoby of Perron; riotous Mexican colour abounds in the bar and restaurant; Vicky Crease; honey-andlime sweet potato served on sweetcorn fritters with salsa, guacamole and feta
