Man found strangled to death
GRAAFF-REINET — The body of a 50-yearold man was found in the bathroom of his house in College Road, Graaff-reinet on Monday morning, July 3.
The man was an employee of a local electrical and civil construction company, and when he did not arrive for work on Monday morning, his employer was concerned and went to the man’s home to check if everything was in order.
He then called the police, who found the body of the missing man in his bathroom, with his hands tied together. According to a police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Hannes Theron, it appears that the man had been strangled. A murder docket has been opened, and the case is still in the early stages of the investigation. At the time of going to press, the police were unable to give any further information, and have not yet released the name of the victim, as his next of kin have still to be informed.
