T­hanks­gi­ving Ba­zaar t­his Sa­tur­day

ABERDEEN — The an­nu­al T­hanks­gi­ving Ba­zaar of the Aberdeen Dutch Re­for­med Church will ta­ke pla­ce t­his Sa­tur­day, Oc­to­ber 7.

As al­ways, t­his e­vent is e­a­ger­ly an­ti­ci­pa­ted by A­ber­do­ni­ans, and all the u­su­al po­pu­lar food wa­res will be a­vai­la­ble. A child­ren’s ta­ble will help keep the litt­le on­es bu­sy.

In­si­de the hall will be a café ser­ving drinks and an as­sort­ment of sweet and sa­vou­ry snacks, with pan­ca­kes and pud­dings for tho­se with a sweet tooth a­vai­la­ble to either eat in or ta­ke a­way.

For tho­se look­ing for a mo­re sub­stan­ti­al me­al, cur­ry and ri­ce and the e­ver-po­pu­lar braai­vleis with sa­lads will be re­a­dy for an e­ar­ly lunch. The­re will be me­at from lo­cal farms, fresh ve­ge­ta­bles, ho­me-ba­ked ca­kes and bis­cuits, and re­a­dy-cook­ed me­als to ta­ke ho­me for the free­zer.

The Ba­zaar of­fi­ci­al­ly o­pens at 10:00, but as e­ver­yo­ne knows, ma­ny pe­op­le will be the­re well a­he­ad of t­his! Roos­ter­koek and cof­fee will be a­vai­la­ble out­si­de, from 08:00, for tho­se needing so­me e­ar­ly sus­te­nan­ce.
