Santa’s Shoebox project’s deliveries commence

GRAAFF-REINET — For the first time, needy children in this area are benefitting from the national Santa Shoebox project.

Each child receives a personalised brightlycovered shoebox, ¿lled with treats, personal hygiene items, educational stationery supplies, and a brand new out¿t of clothing. Children have been identi¿ed in foster homes and facilities in Graaff-reinet, Aberdeen and Pearston, and good Samaritans in the area have been busy putting the boxes together. The ¿rst boxes have been delivered in Graaffreinet and Pearston this week, and the delight on the children’s faces made all the hard work worthwhile. More information and photos to follow next week!
