Union gets a rose named after it
GRAAFF-REINET — In celebration of the centenary of the Union Schools in Graaff-reinet, Ludwig’s Roses have named a suitable rose variety ‘Union Schools 100’.
Ludwig’s Roses is the largest rose grower in the country, with branches nationwide.
The ‘Union Schools 100’ rose is currently available at all their branches.
The rose chosen to commemorate Union embodies the spirit of the beautiful school.
Reflecting Union’s colours of green and gold, it is a neat, hardy, tough little bloom that flourishes in the Karoo - very much like the Union learners and educators who work together for the good of the whole. ABOVE AND BELOW: The recently named ‘Union Schools 100’ rose.
