Sep­tem­ber an ex­ci­ting ti­me for s­chool

NIEU-BETHESDA — The s­taff and le­ar­ners at Let­tie de K­lerk S­chool in Nieu-bethesda we­re de­lig­h­ted to re­cei­ve a won­der­ful do­na­ti­on of four­teen 20 lit­re drums of paint as well as new win­dow pa­nes from the S­neeu­berg Far­mers’ As­so­ci­a­ti­on this week.

C­hai­r­per­son Gra­ham Mur­ray han­ded the paint o­ver to s­taff on T­hurs­day af­ter­noon and pain­ting will com­men­ce short­ly.

In s­taff news, Le­ney de Vrye has se­cu­red a per­ma­nent post as a Gra­de 7 e­du­ca­tor at the s­chool. A qua­li­fied in­ter­me­di­a­te pha­se te­a­cher, De Vrye says that she is look­ing for­ward to wor­king with the ol­dest child­ren in the s­chool and looks for­ward to li­ving in Nieu-bethesda.

The s­chool fee­ding sche­me con­ti­nues to pro­vi­de e­ach and e­very le­ar­ner with a warm me­al e­ach day, and the le­ar­ners are gra­te­ful to the la­dies who cook the­se me­als for them.
