An­glers brave wind-blown seas

The Rock and Surf Su­per Pro league Kowie Crack­ers Fran­chise held their third league of the sea­son on the Kleinemonde East Beach this past Satur­day. De­spite the 80km gale force east­erly winds and 4m seas pre­dicted the fran­chise saw a good turnout with 38 an­glers en­ter­ing on the day.

The win­ner of the Big­gest Fish Species went to Wayne Scott with a White Steen­bras of 68cm (5.2kg). David Dren­nan was sec­ond with a White Mus­sel­cracker of 57cm (4.2kg) and third place went to Stu­art Brill with a Bronze Bream of 46.5cm (2.9kg).

The Big­gest Shark catch for the day was Deon Marais with a Smooth Gully of 80cm (2kg).

Karen Kemp won the Ladies cat­e­gory with 96 points, while Colin Scheep­ers won the Masters cat­e­gory with 250 points.

There were 177 fish caught across 16 species with a cal­cu­lated weight of 96kg (RASSPL is 100% catch & re­lease).
