Yvette Weinrich-Stander of Cape Town writes I believe this teapot is quite old and rare; it was given to me by my grandmother more than 40 years ago and it has no chips or cracks. How much is it worth?
Monique Kleynhans of Stephan Welz and Co replies This is a Royal Doulton Bunnykins Art Deco Teapot from a range of ceramic tableware manufactured as nursery dishes and collectible figurines. It was designed and hand-drawn by Barbara Vernon, the daughter of the general manager of Doulton, Cuthbert Bailey. She wasn’t in fact a professional illustrator, but a nun.
