IN SHORT

Home (South Africa) - - YOUR SPACE -

You must get many accolades from your readers and I’d like to add another to the list: thank you for a magazine that features decent articles with decent-sized photographs. I mean, what is the point of writing about somebody’s house when you can’t really see what is being written about and much is left to the imagination? I’m a new convert to your magazine and you have me addicted.

I haven’t quite got the paintbrush and paint out and don’t always get how folks decorate their homes with all the “reloved” bits and pieces, but I’m hoping to one day come up for air from my stressful job and paint – even if it’s just the tray I’ve been keeping for a makeover. Oh, and from reading Wicus’s editor’s note, I must say he’s the kind of neighbour I’d love to have! – Ilona Baguley, Johannesburg My very clever mom Margie Brown and her friend Lisbeth Verlry made this gorgeous scarecrow, who now happily resides in my veggie patch. – Jacqui Chandler, Benoni
