Pure and simple
Belinda Stevens of Johannesburg writes After my recent kitchen redo, I decided to create a splashback – for less than R1 000! I painted MDF board with a few coats of black chalkboard paint and then created a white chalk drawing which I sealed with artist’s fixative. Black buffer foam strips were stuck around the edges to lift the Perspex. This was then bolted into the wall and faced with rubberised zinc roofing washers. I have an Eastern Free State feeling of serenity every time I cook!
