BIG IDEA #1

HANDLELESS DOORS

House and Leisure Before and After - - RENOVATION #5 -

The master bedroom is off the dining room, an attribute of the house Duncan thought odd, but one he wasn’t prepared to change for the spectacular view the bedroom offers. Ashleigh offered a discreet solution by integrating a handleless door into the wall cladding, rendering it almost invisible. Equally, clean and uncluttered lines abound across all the home’s cabinetry with touchrelease doors and drawers, as well as hidden finger grips. ‘I don’t like handles,’ says Ashleigh. ‘I find them visually distracting.’

A Kriss Kross lamp by Dokter and Misses (dokterandmisses.com) sits atop an oak veneer bedside plinth and drawer box in Charcoal Duco. RIGHT The en suite bathroom is clad in Smokey Grey Antique granite by WOMAG (womag.co.za). The Deca On Top basin, also by

WOMAG, sits on a Grey Oak bathroom vanity.
