House and Leisure Before and After - - FLOORING -

Nicholas Gluckman of Oggie Hardwood Flooring advises: Installing timber floors shouldn’t be a DIY project; use an approved installer endorsed by your supplier. Floors should be elastometrically glued down, as opposed to floating on a underlay; this reduces noise and movement in the floor over a long period of time. Look after your oak floors by re-oiling them up to four times a year with a product like Woodcare Denmark, available through Oggie. If you do this, your floors should out last you.
