2T wasabi paste 100ml soy sauce 2t sugar 2T fresh ginger, grated 2T black sesame seeds 1.4kg beef fil­let olive oil Di­jon mus­tard pota­toes green beans

Serves 6

Mix the wasabi paste, soy sauce, sugar, ginger and sesame seeds to­gether in a roast­ing tray to make the mari­nade.

Clean the fil­let and re­move any fatty or sinewy pieces. Place the beef in the wasabi mix­ture, coat­ing the fil­let, and leave to mar­i­nate for about two hours or more.

Pre­heat the oven to 200°C. Driz­zle with a lit­tle olive oil, and roast for about 25 min­utes for rare, 40 min­utes for medium and 50 min­utes for well done. Re­move from the oven and al­low to rest for about 10 min­utes be­fore slic­ing.

Serve with mus­tard mashed pota­toes and green beans.
