A member of Relais & Châteaux – a revered collection of gourmet restaurants, boutique hotels, resorts and villas around the world – Cellars-Hohenort started life as a sprawling farm estate in the 17th century, owned by the chief surgeon of the Dutch East India Company, Hendrik ten Damme.

These days, the historical Hohenort Manor House and the Cellars are surrounded by the most spectacular rose and herb gardens, citrus orchards, vineyards, waterfalls, ponds and nature trails, making the Cellars-Hohenort one of the most tranquil and elegant country retreats in South Africa.
