LG has dou­bled its smart TVs’ in­tel­li­gence with a fresh new ThinQ AI (ar­ti­fi­cial in­tel­li­gence) that sup­ports both Google As­sis­tant as well as Ama­zon Alexa in its lat­est C9 OLED 4K HDR TV. In ad­di­tion to ask­ing about the weather or or­der­ing a pizza, own­ers can look for­ward to con­trol­ling smart home de­vices and, of course, ac­cess­ing their Ama­zon con­tent with just their voices. Us­ing Alexa Rou­tines, users can link to­gether a se­ries of ac­tions such as pro­vid­ing traf­fic in­for­ma­tion, re­port­ing the weather, and list­ing the day’s agenda items. The real stars are the four HDMI 2.1 ports, all ca­pa­ble of sup­port­ing 4K res­o­lu­tion at up to 120 frames per se­cond, and En­hanced Au­dio Re­turn Chan­nel (eARC), op­ti­mised for sound­bars and sur­round-sound sys­tems.
