One TV to Rule Them All
LG has doubled its smart TVs’ intelligence with a fresh new ThinQ AI (artificial intelligence) that supports both Google Assistant as well as Amazon Alexa in its latest C9 OLED 4K HDR TV. In addition to asking about the weather or ordering a pizza, owners can look forward to controlling smart home devices and, of course, accessing their Amazon content with just their voices. Using Alexa Routines, users can link together a series of actions such as providing traffic information, reporting the weather, and listing the day’s agenda items. The real stars are the four HDMI 2.1 ports, all capable of supporting 4K resolution at up to 120 frames per second, and Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC), optimised for soundbars and surround-sound systems. Pricing starts at R45,999.
