Credit must be given to Owen da Gama for selecting the best players we have and who were on form. It is for the first time in history where we see the highest number of presentation from players who played together in the Under-20 national team. When we participated in the Under-20 World Cup in Egypt in 2009, Andile Jali, Darren Keet, Kamohelo Mokotjo, Kermit Erasmus, Rama Mphahlele, Thulani Serero and Thulani Hlatshwayo were all in the squad. This is the kind of progress we want to see in our national team. Our junior national teams should be a building block for the senior team. Itumeleng Khune, Keegan Dolly, Eric Mathoho, Lorenzo Gordinho, Percy Tau, Phakamani Mahlambi and Luther Singh are all graduates from our junior teams and this is going to benefit Mzansi football.
