Kick Off

PROSPECTS:

-

Wits still have nine games to play but are a side well-equipped to meet the challenge, with coach Gavin Hunt saying he likes nothing better than matches coming thick and fast.

He is likely to get his wish, and it is no easy run-in for The Clever Boys, who must face leaders Kaizer Chiefs twice, and well as Orlando Pirates.

Those are tough games, but present Wits with opportunity and if they could manage tot wins against the AmaKhosi, that will throw tthem right into contention for top honours.

They have a positive or even record against all of their remaining opponents since the start of the 2017/18 season, and at an average of 1.71 points per game, can exppect a healthy points total in the remainder of the campaign.

While it will likely not be enough to win the Absa Premiership, it should secure third placep at the very least and a return to the CAF Confederation Cup, where they featured ini the group stages this season.

Much will rely on the team’s strikers, who have been woefully short of goals this season, bit if they can start to fire then Wits could be the team to watch.

PREDICTED P FINAL POINTS TALLY: 57
