T­re­a­su­res at Lei­su­re I­sle Fest

Ha­ve you di­a­ri­sed the da­tes 4 and 5 No­vem­ber? Ha­ve you plot­ted your cour­se? Set your GPS?

The Lei­su­re I­sle Fe­s­ti­val pro­mi­ses a wee­kend of en­ter­tai­n­ment for a­dults and child­ren, de­li­ci­ous foods and a chan­ce to start your X­mas shop­ping.

A key fo­cus of the fe­s­ti­val is to pro­vi­de the lo­cal com­mu­ni­ty with an op­por­tu­ni­ty to sup­port lo­cal cha­ri­ties through the pur­cha­se of lo­cal­ly pro­du­ced arts, craft and foods.

Hos­pi­ce vo­lun­teers work all y­e­ar and al­ways ex­cel with their won­der­ful se­lecti­on of books and de­li­ci­ous te­as.

Keen gar­de­ners will be de­lig­h­ted with o­ver 300 ex­pert­ly cul­ti­va­ted stan­dard and half stan­dard ro­ses, ma­ny of them ra­re En­g­lish scen­ted ro­ses.

John Wes­sels, who des­cri­bes his wood-tur­ning and pe­w­ter art­work as a “field of en­chant­ment”, will be gi­ving a se­ries of de­mon­stra­ti­ons, and the Knys­na Schools S­ports De­ve­lop­ment Trust will be at­tracting child­ren to their turf, in their quest to in­vest in the youth of Knys­na.

T­his y­e­ar’s Lei­su­re I­sle Fe­s­ti­val pro­mi­ses to be as much fun as past y­e­ars and al­so has so­me new sur­pri­ses, which are still un­der wraps…
