Cul­tu­ral ac­co­la­des for p­rep le­ar­ners

Oak­hill P­rep stu­dents re­cent­ly took part in the an­nu­al Ge­or­ge Eistedd­fod o­ver a span of two weeks, cul­mi­na­ting in the ga­la e­vent on T­hurs­day 31 Au­gust.

T­his is the eig­hth ye­ar that Oak­hill P­rep has ta­ken part, en­te­ring a to­tal of 49 i­tems, and a­chie­ving the fol­lo­wing fan­tas­tic re­sults: 20 A++, 10 A+, 14 A, 1 B+ and 2 B.

Vic­to­ria Still, A Gra­de 4 le­ar­ner at Oak­hill, clin­ched the top a­ward of the Eistedd­fod – the Ju­ni­or Cup. Vic­to­ria fol­lows in the foot­steps of Em­ma Gib­son, who won the Ju­ni­or Cup for three y­e­ars in a row be­fo­re mo­ving to Eng­land.

Oak­hill P­rep he­ad of art de­part­ment Be­a­trix Har­dick says, “With a­not­her three y­e­ars of Eistedd­fods a­he­ad of her, we can look for­ward to so­me ex­ci­ting per­for­man­ces from t­his very ta­len­ted young la­dy!” –
