S­teen­bok Na­tu­re Re­ser­ve is proud to an­noun­ce the pu­bli­ca­ti­on of a se­cond e­di­ti­on of S­ha­red Re­ci­pes, fol­lo­wing its success­ful launch a y­e­ar ago. T­his re­ci­pe book, first sold at the 2016 Lei­su­re I­sle Fes­ti­val, was ma­de pos­si­ble by ma­ny friends and fol­lo­wers of S­teen­bok sharing their re­ci­pes.

Con­tri­bu­ti­ons ca­me from far and wi­de and in­clu­de ma­ny fa­mi­ly fa­vou­ri­tes.

The­re are al­so so­me hap­py and a­mu­sing sto­ries as well as in­te­res­ting facts a­bout S­teen­bok Na­tu­re Re­ser­ve sour­ced from its web­si­te, www.steen­bok­na­tu­re­re­ser­ve.org. za.

The book is e­a­sy to use, with se­a­so­nal re­ci­pes. The first e­di­ti­on was sold out within two mont­hs and the pro­ceeds u­sed to ge­ne­ra­te furt­her im­pro­vements to the re­ser­ve.

S­teen­bok ma­na­ge­ment said the launch of t­his se­cond e­di­ti­on is ma­de with haun­ting me­mo­ries of the fi­res still fresh in their minds.

“Our sis­ter re­ser­ve, P­led­ge Na­tu­re Re­ser­ve, was de­stroy­ed. Re­ha­bi­li­ta­ti­on of P­led­ge is well un­der way and, in sup­port the­re­of, half of the pro­ceeds of the sa­le of t­his e­di­ti­on are for the be­ne­fit of P­led­ge.” S­teen­bok has al­so pled­ged to pro­mo­te t­his re­ser­ve on­ce it is a­gain o­pe­ned to the pu­blic.

Co­pies of the se­cond e­di­ti­on will be on sa­le at the Lei­su­re I­sle fes­ti­val on the wee­kend of 4 and 5 No­vem­ber.

Half of the pro­ceeds from the sa­le of S­teen­bok Na­tu­re Re­ser­ve’s re­ci­pe book, S­ha­red Re­ci­pes, will go to­wards P­led­ge Na­tu­re Re­ser­ve that was de­stroy­ed in the Ju­ne fi­res.
