Suzuki Jimny 1.3

Tough enough!

Leisure Wheels (South Africa) - - TEST LONG-TERM -

Our wee little Suzuki recently competed in the second round of the Bridgestone 4×4 Club Challenge. Crewed by Tumelo Maketekete and Antonie Coetzee, the Jimny finished in 10th place overall in the shortwheelbase class.

A Jimny-unfriendly track meant it turned out to be a really tough day, though. The Suzukis, with their open differentials, had their work cut out.

Clearly the shorty Jeep Wrangler Rubicons had the upper hand on the day: they could crawl over the worst bits while the Jinnys battled for grip.

The next event is an allnight affair, and Tumelo and Antonie are excited about the prospect of putting the Lightforce LED light bar to good use. Meanwhile, the little Jimny is doing a grand job as a daily runner, too.
