A FANCY CHINESE PATROL

Leisure Wheels (South Africa) - - NEWS -

While building cars under the authorisation of more well-known manufacturers (in South Africa, at least) is par for the course in China, Nissan has taken things a step further.

Venucia is a luxury brand, jointly founded by Dong-feng and Nissan in 2012. These vehicles are currently underpinned by Nissan components.

This large luxobarge is called the X Concept, and like most of the concepts launched at Beijing, not much is known about it apart from how it looks.

Given its size, we’re guessing the Patrol is somehow involved. Venucia says it doesn’t matter anyway, as the X is merely meant to be an indicator of what design direction the company is taking.

While there seems to be a hint of Range Rover at the rear, the rest is strikingly modern.

Hopefully Venucia won’t wait too long to start manufacturing automobiles that look like this.
