DOOF WAGON, MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, 2015

Leisure Wheels (South Africa) - - GEAR -

Yet another movie prop that’s 100% functional. Everything you see, from the eight wheels to the speakers on the sides of the cab, is in working order. Director George Miller demanded these vehicles be driven across Namibia. The Doof Warrior’s guitar also really spits fire, in case you were wondering. The Doof Wagon serves as the morale booster in Immortan Joe’s posse, used to rally the troops and intimidate opposing forces. It was built on an 8×8 artillery truck chassis and weighs in at just over 15 tons. With only 250kW at its disposal, it’s not fast but it does make a grand entrance.

Price: It was a one off and the cost was never revealed. Can it 4×4: Yes. It has eight driven wheels!
