This month we feature the 100% Foundation
All donations received by The 100% Foundation go directly to its beneficiaries, which include primary schools and early childhood development centres. The donations assist with the building of infrastructures, early childhood education and support sustainable food projects. The foundation’s programmes assist in upskilling and training educators and offer advice on nutrition. They also work with volunteers to promote literacy and support other registered NGOs. The 100% Foundation has partnered with several charities to assist communities through early childhood education initiatives. Many foundation phase learners are unable to read and write in their home language, leading to the implementation of the Siyaphumelela Literacy Project to instill a culture of reading among children with volunteers assisting with weekly literacy classes. The foundation distributes food to destitute families and provides education on the basic principles of sustainable farming, as well as offering basic physical, emotional and material assistance to people in need especially orphans and vulnerable children.
