Hotels for bees Interior designer Etienne Hanekom recently designed a Bee Hotel for Babylonstoren in the Cape Winelands. Inspired by the gable of a former 19th-century grain store on the farm, the space is designed for solitary bees to make individual nest cells for their larvae.The hotel has lots of tunnels and holes, and is made of natural materials and non-toxic sealers and renders.
