The furthest extreme of bride-and-groomzilla demands? Wanting your wedding to be a social media sensation.

TWITTER NUPTIALS Forget the photographer and the videographer, the modern wedding now also needs a tweeter. W Hotels in New York offers a ‘Social Media Wedding Concierge’ service, and for $3 000 (more than R30 000) you can benefit from ‘concierge’ services including ‘curating a unique wedding #hashtag’. How about #nothanks.

A HOLLYWOOD SAVE THE DATE ‘Coming this Summer…’ A couple in San Francisco made what looks like a B-list action-movie trailer for their July wedding (featuring a helicopter and at least a few smoke machines). They’re both successful lawyers, so there’s no telling how they had time for this.

SCENE-STEALERS Over in another state, a Virginia couple restaged movie posters for their ‘save the date’. Pretty impressively, we might add.
