Hon­estly, not usu­ally be­ing a buyer of glam­orous mag­a­zines, be­cause of the stereo­typ­ing that goes with them, I was blown away by the beauty of your cover and the May is­sue as a whole, which touched on such a wide range of topics. It was so re­fresh­ing that it didn’t all come down to ap­pear­ances. A more fem­i­nist ap­proach is ground-break­ing in a mar­ket dom­i­nated by un­re­al­is­tic ex­pec­ta­tions, and the ar­ti­cle ‘Cel­e­brat­ing the mod­ern muse’ hon­oured strong, in­de­pen­dent women. I have an im­pres­sion­able 14-year-old at home and gen­er­ally stay away from glossy mag­a­zines de­pict­ing un­real-look­ing women, mainly be­cause, thank­fully, they have no bear­ing on our or­di­nary lives.
