Marie Claire (South Africa) - - LETTERS -

I am always eager to buy my Marie Claire for its inspirational stories of beautiful and strong women and, of course, the latest trends. Recently, while pregnant, I endured a terrible case of pregnancy sickness that had me looking and feeling down in the dumps. I had no motivation to get out of bed and the unread copies started piling up, until one morning my husband left them on my bed in a desperate attempt to stop my feeling sorry for myself. As I gingerly began turning through the pages, I caught glimpses of how I aspired to feel and look once again. By the end of that session, I felt such a surge of glamour that I decided to put on my brightest red lipstick and, the following day, sported a brand-new haircut. This was when I started to feel a little better.Thank you for always aiming to be such a marvellous celebration of beauty on so many different levels. – Kavendree Muthu-Kurten wins a TheraVine hamper
